Easy Gulf Coast Grouper Fishing - Part I - A Fishing Fool Article

By The Fishing Fool The gulf coast of Florida offers some of the best grouper fishing around. The Gulf has fairly calm water most of the year (except for our new 11 month recent hurricane season). The gear is pretty simple: a fairly stout rod, I say fairly stout because you dont want your rod too stiff because this will effect the action it has on the baitmore on this later. I use 40lb line on the reel with a 100lb shock leader, and about an 8/0 hook. I like to use live bait for grouper fishing but some prefer jigs, spoons, and even heavy grade trolling lures. After gear, guests, and boat are ready we need to catch some bait. I like to use the junk fish that you catch when bottom fishing with smaller rigs. Blue runners, sand perch, lizard fish, etc Grouper are not real picky eaters when it comes to live bait. Yes, they do have favorites like anything else that eats, but the fish mentioned above will work great. I start my day with a piece of a large squid, about the size of you open hand is usually enough. I like to use large squid because it is tougher and stays on the hook better. Check you local fish market for availability. We head out and stop around the 45 area and start looking for our bait. Most of the time there are no clear signs of where the bait is, you just have to keep trying till you have some luck. The bait we are looking for is holding on the bottom most of the time unless you can find some sardines in the area, then try a Sabaki rig or something similar. Cut your squid into small strips and send it to the bottom and see if any small bait fish are going cooperate with your plans. Unless you have a favorite area to catch bait, you might have to move around till you start getting bites. We usually move about 300-500 feet each move till the bait starts biting. After you get a couple dozen baitfish in the livewell head on out to your fishing area. Ours is around the 100 foot mark and is a series of GPS marks in a 3-5 mile square area. If we dont get a bite in 20-30 minutes or so we will move on to another GPS mark in the area, (and no, I wont give you my GPS #s)sorry! This article is continued in part II. Romantic Relationships: An Internal Process

By Justin Luyt If you grew up in the 80s like I did, you might remember the group Depeche Mode and their hit “Just Can’t Get Enough.” It is a song about being obsessed with the idea of being with someone, about needing another person. Romance easily becomes this addiction when we believe that we are not complete without someone else and that we simply cannot get enough of the blissful feeling we get when we are with him or her. When we believe we need the romance to be complete, we are in trouble for we are perfect and complete, connected to the world at all times - we merely need to choose to acknowledge that we are. We are fortunate in today’s world to have great tools to help us overcome this false belief. Relationship coaching, romance coaching (with dating coaches) and counseling are merely a few of the tools we have at hand to help us overcome this fear. Many relationship books have been written with great relationship advice, but the essence is still our desire to release the fear we hold within and return to love. In a very special way, romantic relationships are that journey back to love, back to the knowing that we are all part of a macrocosm called Life and that we can access the wonders of love, compassion, understanding, harmony, peace and more, simply by making such choices. Physically, we’re all made basically the same way, save for gender differences. But whether one is Madonna, Prince Charles, me, you or the waitress that served you lunch today, our bodies all operate in a similar manner. The way we behave and our ideas about things stems from psychological differences. Different ways in which we think cause us to make certain decisions. We have the tendency to label our romantic partners as being special. There’s a price to pay for special love if we are not careful. Telling a person that he or she is “special” projects the idea that the person possesses something you do not. This implies that you are not complete without them. Or in other words, that you need them. Everyone holds all the potential in the world within. Thus, our projection of being “half complete” is a false thought of guild, for innately we know we are connected to our source, but our Ego denies that truth. So where do I start with this shift in perception? True Intimacy is of the mind, not of the body. Having sex with a person does not create intimacy in any way. You can sleep with someone, or even live with someone, for years and not experience intimacy. Authentic self-expression is the key to true intimacy in romantic relationships, as well as in all other relationships. Getting to a place where you can authentically share your feelings and experiences is where I suggest you begin in order to create true intimacy with someone. At Romance Coaching, you partake in Transformational Education that strengthens your beliefs about yourself. You might find that you restrict yourself and not take a leap to meet new people, or you simply find you are in a relationship but lack intimacy. Think what you believe about yourself. Do you believe you deserve a long lasting Romantic Relationship? What are your thoughts about Intimacy, Affection, Love, Sex? Really think Our Transformational Education has one aim to develop the skill of Romance. God, The Murderer

By Charles Sabillon Many well educated apologists of religion recognize that it is useless to deny the terrible things that creeds have done through the centuries. Being history so categorical on this matter, they thus conclude that the best policy to adopt is to point the finger at those who have done worse. That is obviously a lame argument because religions, which are supposedly the representatives of God, are supposed to be good and cause no harm. Therefore, an argument which claims that other systems of belief have done worse things is one without a platform. Nevertheless, it is worth analyzing such a position to see if it can at least hold the line on some aspects. These apologists argue that the twentieth century was a period of secular regimes and those regimes were terribly murderous. That period was indeed characterized by the ascent of not just secular but even atheist systems, such as Communism and Nazism, and those regimes ended up being extremely brutal. Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and Pol Pot were effectively responsible for an inordinate number of deaths. The lawyers of religion thus sustain that those secularists killed more people than the Inquisition, the Crusades, and the inter-confessional conflicts of Europe. That argument is at first glance a strong one because it points at the vast amount of people that were slaughtered by secular regimes, putting the figure at more than 200 million while the religious wars of the past were not so costly in human lives. The problem with that argument is that it has a biased Western scope and thus focuses just on the crimes committed by the Christian religion. The amount of people that were murdered by Mohammed and his armies as he forcefully imposed his new religion on the Arabian Peninsula in the seventh century and the many more that his followers slaughtered in the coming centuries, is huge. The same goes with the other large religions. War was regularly undertaken to convert people into Hinduism, Buddhism, and other creeds. One must not leave aside the thousands of religions that existed prior to the apparition of the large ones of today, for those were just as murderous in their efforts to convert those who did not believe in their ideas. When all those figures get added up, it is certain that the number is larger and probably exponentially larger than the deaths caused by the secular regimes of the twentieth century. According to demographers, the amount of people that have lived on this world since the apparition of the human specie has been of about eighty billion. An objective analysis thus, takes into account all of those people and all of that time. It therefore considers the 100,000 years of human history and not just the last two thousand years. However, even if it could still be argued that the wars of the twentieth century brought more harm to humanity than religious wars, there is still another problem. Nominal figures have the capacity to impress, for large numbers are always eye-catching. However, they have no scientific worthiness unless they are measured in a proportionate scale. The fact is that the size of the world population has grown massively in the past two centuries. When Jesus Christ dwelled the world for example, the total world population was of just 200 million, but by the year 2000 it was of more than six billion. That last is a figure thirty times larger than the first. Therefore, the only thing worth comparing is the share of the population that was killed by the two types of wars. It must be emphasized that such an approach is standard policy in all scientific disciplines and not just in demographics. If for example, the level of wealth between nations wants to be compared, no economist will liken the gross domestic product of the U.S. with that of Luxembourg because the first country has more than 300 million people and the second only half a million. Analyzed like that, it seems as if the U.S. is massively richer. In order to make sensible comparisons, what must be analyzed is gross domestic product in per capita terms. Under those terms, what gets measured is the average personal wealth of each American and each Luxembourger, and under those circumstances the wealthier ones are the citizens of Luxembourg. When one looks at the percentages of those slaughtered by religious wars and by secular wars, it becomes evident that the most murderous were the first. During the sixteenth and seventeenth century for example, there were more than a dozen inter-confessional wars between Catholics and Protestants. Although all were terrible bloody, the Thirty Years War in Germany was the most atrocious. From 1618 to 1648, it is estimated that about 36% of the population of that country perished as a direct or indirect result of that conflict. The Second World War on the other hand, was only responsible for killing 8% of Germanys population and the First World War just killed 5%. The Thirty Years War was just one among thousands of religious wars that have taken place throughout the whole of history and just that single one easily outstripped the two worst secular wars of the twentieth century. So do the math and conclude which has caused the most harm to humanity. However, the above is not the best argument to demonstrate the evilness of religions. There is a better one. Charles Sabillon did High School in Texas and has undergraduate degrees in Philosophy, Economics and Law as well as a masters and a doctorate in International Relations. After the PhD, he undertook post-doctoral research in the fields of History, Economics, and Ecology. He has taught Economic History at a university in Switzerland and speaks fluently English, Spanish, French and German. An Introduction To Unsecured Student Loans

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Ricky_Lim]Ricky Lim There are many students in the United States who are having a hard time paying their student fees. For most student loans, it requires that you have some collateral, meaning you need to have some equity such as a home or a car before you can even about getting a student loan. So what happens if you do not have both? I should let you know there is another type of loan known as unsecured student loan. It is particularly useful for students who have no collateral or have bad credit. Unsecured student loan is simply a student loan where the lender knows your financial situation is not good but is still willing to lend you a loan. Usually, unsecured student loan interest rates are higher than normal student loans but that is to be expected since the lender is taking a larger risk in lending you the money. Currently, both private and government have unsecured student loans available. I do need to advise you that if you intend to get an unsecured student loan, be prepared to be questioned intensely. Thats because such loans are considered high risk by most lenders therefore they will do a lot of background checks and questioning before giving you the loan. The advantage of an unsecured student loan is intended to pay off all your existing student loans and take up one student loan, repayable on a monthly basis. The interest rate may be higher but at least you dont have to constantly worry about paying various student loans. Some lenders also impose a limit on the loan amount. Keep in mind the risk the lenders are taking, therefore do not expect to get a huge unsecured student loan. Usually the loan amount is below $20,000. Like I said earlier, the advantage of taking up such a loan is that you can repay all your existing student loans and take up a new student loan. If you have a good credit, then getting a student loan consolidation plan from either private lenders or the government is fine. Unsecured student loans is really meant for students who cannot qualify for a consolidated student loan. Nowadays living with debt is part and parcel of life. The main point of getting a student loan is to allow you to concentrate on your education without worrying about the financial part. Also I would like to mention no matter what kind of student loan you are taking, it is important to know how to manage your debt and not be drown by it. Learning how to manage your debt is more important than getting the cheapest student loan. Lighting Therapies to Cure Winter Depression

By Michael Russell SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) also defined as winter depression, is a serious condition that has as a cause the lack of bright light during the winter days. No wonder that this form of depression is treated with light therapy. The incidence of SAD is higher in the northern regions of the Globe, due to their long winter nights. Statistically women are more affected than men are. The illness has serious repercussions on the general well being of the patient; hormonal disorders (including worsened PMS symptoms for women), weight gain and tendency to overeat and sleeping disorders (oversleep). Yes, you’ve got that right: SAD is not a typical melancholic depression. Because SAD is caused by the absence of light it is only natural that light therapy (as a non-invasive remedy) is preferred to treat this depression. The idea is to replace the amount of light found in normal summer days with artificial light. The most important is the intensity of the light and not its color spectrum. Therapeutic light is up to 40 times brighter than normal room lights. Many people who suffer from SAD purchase some light boxes (although therapists will argue that inappropriate exposure might lead to secondary effects: disturbances in the retina, anxiety, etc) and use them while they fulfill normal daily tasks: watching TV, doing laundry, reading or eating. The patients are advised not to stare into the light, but to perform these tasks as if they would be in the presence of ordinary light. The duration of the treatment varies from one week to maximum three weeks and many patients use the light boxes the whole winter, each day. SAD might recur; so many patients choose to keep their light boxes for further use. If you suffer from SAD and intend to purchase a light box, but you are disturbed by the high price, you should know that some health insurance companies do reimburse for the purchase of the light boxes. It is wise to call your health insurer and ask whether there is coverage for such a purchase in your policy or not. Just remember: light therapy will just improve your condition, but there are no warranties that it will cure your depression. As a matter of fact, no antidepressant cures the disorder. When light therapy doesn’t relieve your symptoms you should consult your physician again and ask for treatment alternatives. He or she might recommend medication, in addition to light therapy and not to replace it. If you don’t suffer from SAD or any other depression for that matter, but you would still like to bring more light into your home during winter (or maybe just when your windows are not large enough to let in the proper amount of natural light), you could always purchase a light box made of high power LEDs. Compared to the white fluorescent light boxes, LED light boxes have the advantage of reducing energy costs while emitting light in the same brightness. Many such devices are cheaper than their fluorescent counterparts and if you don’t need bright light, you can always dim the LEDs. Salmon Fishing Techniques

By Milos Pesic Lets face it. You suck in salmon fishing. It annoys you how those salmons tend to shy your meticulously tied flies while they gobble those other lines like flies on a meat pie, or salmons on a fly. Maybe its your luck setting in. But maybe it is because of your salmon fishing techniques, which may need considerable refinement. Tempting the salmon to bite is overly tricky. Sometimes they bite hard and sometimes they never bite at all. Many experts have attributed the non-bite activity to its migratory purpose (being that salmons reduces all sorts of feeding until spawning period is over) but yet there are some reports that salmon do bite hard even on spawning grounds. One theory supports by saying that salmon often takes care of each others eggs, that why using salmon roe makes baiting a more win situation. Salmon encloses those roes into its mouth and depositing it to where it would be safer. Others would support that salmons do tend to bite because it is protecting its breeding vicinity, which could also be true given that salmons are often seen snapping at each other on the breeding grounds. But if ever those salmons are biting, its best to tilt more probability in your favor. A salmon biting is dependent on several factors, one of which is the skill of tempting the fish to your bait, a method known as jiggling. Read through these salmon fishing techniques as we take in detail how to jig for your salmon. Jigging for your Salmon What comes first is to know where those fishes lay. A good fishfinder like Humminbird Matrix 87 can do a healthy job for you. Sonars like these can show you details of the depths below you and crevices by which fishes hide. Next is the color of your jigs. As the migrating salmons prepares for the spawning season, their vision goes sensitive to shades of green from blue, so having jigs of this color increases chances of biting. Though sometimes you can land a perfect fish, odds are slimmer if you are to jiggle a fish out of nowhere. Be sure you either jiggle through a bait school, particularly a school of minnow or jiggle through a school of salmons. Jig the rod and always follow it with the rod tip as it drops. The element of this activity is to make the bait move more realistic, so to narrate the movement: cast the line and let the jig fall on a tight line. as it sinks and falls, follow it with the rod tip, after a pulse reel up the slack and draw it back and let it fall again. Slack and draw. Slack and draw. A strike can be determined if the line twitches. In that case let it fall back a bit before setting the hook immediately. Water skimming is another salmon fishing techniques and it is especially effective on flats. Cast out, and without waiting the jig to sink start a deliberate and steady retrieve using the reel or with the rod. This would make the jig to skim the top (or near top) smoothly through the water like a minnow. Purchasing a Standby Generator

By Allen Creel Purchasing a permanent standby generator for your business is a smart and reasonable move. Every year Americas increasing use of technology makes it more and more dependent on electricity. Everything from washers, dryers and air conditioners to televisions and computers all require power in order to function properly. A good solution to this is the purchasing of a permanent standby generator. Unfortunately, many people either dont know enough or feel overwhelmed by the task of researching which permanent standby generator they need. The process of buying a permanent standby generator can seem rather complex at first. This guide breaks down the process into several easy to follow steps that anyone can use to equip their home or business with the latest in reliable backup power. Step 1: What Do I Need To Power? This is the first step you need to take to protect your home and belongings in the event of power loss. It is important that you know this because it could save you potentially hundreds or even thousands of dollars when it comes time to select the model that is right for you. Do you only want to power a few lights in your house? Do you want to power major appliances such as a washer or dryer? Do you have expensive computer equipment or medical equipment? Decide what circuits and appliances you would like to power and add up the maximum wattage they produce. You can find out what wattage your appliances produce by multiplying their voltage times their amperage. One other thing to keep in mind is that appliances with large electrical motors need a large amount of electricity when they start up as opposed to when they actually run. Usually, the amount of electricity an appliance needs at startup is 2 to 3 times the amount of electricity an appliance needs to run on normally. When computing your wattage requirements, you will want to add in the maximum wattage your appliance needs on startup, not its normal running wattage. Add all of the wattages together, and then you will know the minimum power capacity of the generator you need to buy. The reason I say minimum is because it is always it is always better to overestimate than underestimate when it comes to power capacity. Having additional unused power capacity wont hurt anything (and it might come in handy later). However, purchasing a generator that cannot support a large capacity can lead to many problems down the road. By compiling a list of what you want to power in your home and how much wattage capacity you will need, you can make the next step of the process much simpler. Step 2: Which Model Is Right For Me? A lot of people tend to think of this step as the first one in the process of buying a standby generator. Unfortunately, there are such a wide range of brands on the market, these people feel overwhelmed by the sheer volume of choices. Well established brands include Briggs & Stratton and Generac. Other brands are Honda, Onan and Kohler. However, once you work your way through the first step of the process, you can greatly simplify your decision. Typically, standby generators produce wattages ranging from 7,000 watts, usually referred to as 7 kilowatts or 7kW all the way up to 50kW. Some higher end models can produce up to 100kW. Industrial sized standby generators can even go up to a few megawatts! Although sufficient power capacity varies from house to house, most middle class homes will need at least 7kW. This would allow you to power a few lights and small appliances. If you want to include large appliances such as washers, dryers and air conditioners, then a 15kW is more appropriate. For power capacities of this size, any of the generator brands above offer excellent quality choices. Shop around for pricing. Stores like Lowes and Home Depot are two places to look, however many online sites offer better pricing and selection. Using search strings like standby generators, generac, briggs and Stratton and backup generators will produce a large number of vendors. Also, you can look on online services such as Froogle and Ebay. Typical prices can range anywhere from $3,000 to over $30,000. Step 3: How Do I Install A Permanent Standby Generator? Installing a standby generator is an often overlooked task. These systems are not small. A 7kW system can weigh as much as 300 or 400 pounds! Not only that, but installing a standby generator requires specialized knowledge of plumbing and wiring. Contact a qualified professional such as your local liquid propane dealer, electrician or plumber for assistance with installation. Step 4: Why Do I Need To Maintain A Permanent Standby Generator? Maintaining a standby generator is of paramount importance. Suppose you spend a few thousand dollars on the generator you want and get it properly installed in your home. You will probably want to take whatever reasonable steps you need to in order to ensure it runs properly. If you dont then, it can cause thousands of dollars in damage to your appliances. If the power goes out and your improperly maintained standby generator activates, then it may not be able to provide the electricity needed to power the appliance. This in turn will cause the appliance to draw more power to make up for the shortfall. In response to this, the generator will work harder in an attempt to increase power capacity. Since the unit is improperly maintained, the increased work load will place additional stress on the generator unit and cause it to burn out, potentially damaging any appliance it is connected to. The second problem that arises from improper maintenance is that of warranty coverage. Manufacturers of standby generators will not honor the warranty on a unit that has not been properly maintained. In light of these two facts (and the thousands of dollars in repairs that could result from them), it just makes sense to keep your standby generator properly maintained. Plan a Date To Go Places and Do Things You Enjoy

By Dr. Jackie Black When you plan a date, plan to participate in interests and activities that you enjoy. Invite someone into your life. Be willing to let the people you date experience you, in the places in which you are the most comfortable doing the things that you most love to do. Dates are a time to create opportunities to do the things you most enjoy. On dates, listen carefully to your inner voice(s) and to the person you are with. Experience the other person and who he or she is in their heart and soul. If you enjoy good food, explore interesting restaurants and out-of-the-way eateries that ignite your enjoyment and share them with new people. If you are moved by things of beauty, make a list of beautiful places and interesting buildings in your area to visit on a date. If you want to attract passion you must be passionate! If you are a patron of the arts frequent your local art galleries, community theatres and musician hang-outs. Most communities have art festivals, art walks, craft shows; small galleries have meet the artist nights with great munchies and they are usually free; high schools and colleges often have musical and theatrical productions that rival the pros. If you love to walk or hike, take some time and mark out some city walks to take just as if you were a tourist getting to know your city. Or grab a book on local hiking trails and keep it handy. You get the idea! Remember: Dating is the time that you are checking out the one you are dating. You are observing, listening, and getting a sense of who he or she is. Not visa versa!! Be actively engaged in the life that you love, and you will more readily attract the love of your life! Remember, only YOU can make it happen! Easy Headache Solution

By Azizah A R To those people who do not wish to pop pills to kill pain, this is a good and effective method to consider when a headache comes on. The fingers of our hands and toes of our feet are mapped to our head by meridians running through the body. The right hand and its fingers are associated with the right half including the neck and head. Similarly the left hand and fingers are associated with the left half of the body including the neck and head. The same applies to the feet. If the fingers of the hand were placed in front of the face with the palm facing away from the face, you can determine the relationship between each finger with each of the 10 zones or meridians on the head. The thumbs associate with the center of the head. The index fingers a little distance away to the left and the right, over the inside of the eyes. The middle fingers toward the center/outer edge of the eyes. The ring fingers near the temples. And the baby fingers associate with the left and right edges of the head and ears. When we have a headache one effective technique is to use the clothes peg, preferably the wooden ones, if they can still be found. Alternatively, if you can find some kind of clip that doesn’t apply too much pressure that it blocks the blood flow, you can use that too. Knowing the association between the fingers and the zones or meridians on the head, you can use the pegs on specific fingers to deal with the ache in a specific location of the head. If the headache is on the right side of the body, over the eye or behind the eye, place the clothes peg on the index and middle fingers of the right hand and leave it on for as long as possible. The continuous pressure has a sedative effect and would eventually block the pain. If it is a diffused headache on one side of the head, use the pegs on all the fingers of the same side, i.e. for right half of the head, place pegs on the fingers of the right hand, and for the left half, on the fingers of the left hand. Take a short nap and by the time you rise, you’ll find that the headache is gone! A few years back, the mother of a colleague had a headache for several days, which started with the flu but did not go away when the flu left. I suggested this method. She used the pegs on all the fingers of one hand at first and took a nap. When she woke up, she found that one side of her head was no longer painful. Then she placed the pegs on the other hand, took another short rest and a few hours later found that she was finally head-ache-free! Weight Loss For Beginners

By Ryan Fyfe Getting into a weight loss program or any type of dieting is intimidating for a beginner. Better health is something that we should all work towards, and be bold about. With the right preparation and attitude we can all get into and achieve success in Weight Loss. Provided below are some tips that can help you get into Weight Loss, and help you progress along the way. Seek Advice - When first starting out there is no sense trying to learn everything for yourself! Take some time to talk to others who are more experienced, and learn what you can from them. It can take time to really work out what works for your body, and your lifestyle, and by talking to others you can save a lot of the time in experimenting, and see the results you want, faster. Exercise - When getting into a weight loss plan, make sure you are after one that is interested in the general well being of your body, rather than one that will just pull the pounds off the fastest. Understand that someone who is a bit overweight can be a lot more physically healthy than someone who is lean. I strongly believe that any good Weight Loss program should have an exercise program to go along with it. This will help promote a healthier lifestyle, increase the speed of your progress, give you a strong heart and lungs, and will make you feel mentally fresh, and full of energy. Diet - Just as important as exercising throughout a weight loss program you need to make sure to find a diet that will work for your lifestyle and your goals. Be reasonable, and be persistent. One of the biggest flaws in diet programs, is that users will follow them for 5 out of 7 days of a week, and on the other 2 binge on foods that work negatively towards the progress of the whole program. Be mentally strong and take the steps necessary to make this as easy as possible. It can be simple things like not buying junk foods, and staying out of Coffee/Donut shops that can make all the difference. Set Goals - Set goals that are attainable. Out of reach goals only set yourself up for failure. Take it one step at a time, and enjoy/celebrate your success all the way up the ladder. Whether its taking it pounds at a time or making sure you stick to your diet and exercise program 100% of the time, you need to set goals! Life gets busy and without goals and marks to work towards its easy to lose focus, and fall off. Visualize Success - Its important to see yourself succeeding before begin any program. This winning mind will set yourself up for success and help you stay positive and motivated throughout your entire program!
